Pixel Lineage races: keep or reroll?
Keep a race that already supports your class before chasing rarity. Stonekin fits Fist, Vesper fits magic, and recovery-focused options deserve a look when survival is your problem.[1]
Compare your current stage first: a base passive and a fully evolved race are not the same build. Then ask whether the bonus helps the actions your class actually uses.
Race advice is based on Gordan Perisic’s October 13 Race EVO analysis at Destructoid. It is a published evaluation, not a live stat audit or a win-rate test by this site.
Match Pixel Lineage races to the build you have
| Your need | Race to inspect | Why it belongs on the shortlist |
|---|---|---|
| Fist damage | Stonekin | Its Fist-specific bonus is more relevant here than on a different class. |
| Magic damage | Vesper or Celestine | Their magic-focused benefits can support that direction. |
| Recovery | Nightborne or Tideborn | One rewards attacking; the other offers turn-based recovery. |
| Party support | Seraph | Its protective and healing benefits target a different job from raw damage. |
| Nature focus | Sylvan | A more specialized fit; inspect the build before committing. |
The shortlist summarizes Destructoid's race descriptions, not a universal order.[1] A useful uncommon result can be a sensible keep if its bonus applies now and another spin could leave you with a worse fit.

Why Race Evolution changes the comparison
Destructoid's October 13 evaluation puts evolved Nightborne, Celestine and Vesper among its strongest options. It also describes lower-rarity races becoming more competitive after EVO. That is why a list built only around rarity can lead you to the wrong comparison.[1]
Do not give a base race credit for an evolved effect you have not unlocked. A recommendation can be good for a finished build while being unhelpful to your current character. Ask what the passive does now, then separately consider the future improvement.
Dullahan is tied to the 2026 Halloween event in the source. Treat its event availability separately from the long-term race decision; this page does not establish its current acquisition cost or a permanent unlock route.[1]
A keep-or-reroll process you can use
- Name the weakness. Is the character losing health, lacking useful damage, or trying to contribute to a party? “I want a higher rarity” does not identify a gameplay problem.
- Read your present passive. Check the current in-game wording. Separate the benefit you have from an EVO benefit shown in a guide.
- Test the fit on paper. A Fist-specific bonus has a clear use on Fist. If your main actions use a different stat, do not assume that same bonus will carry the build.
- Decide what counts as a keep before spinning. Pick a useful target group, not only one rare result. Set the maximum spins you are willing to spend.
A Stonekin Fist character has a direct reason to keep the passive. A magic character with Vesper has a different reason. Neither decision needs an assertion that one race wins every matchup.
Protect the budget for your next choice
Before rerolling, ask whether a different class choice or talent would solve the weakness more directly. A passive cannot substitute for a class kit you do not enjoy using.
This guide does not supply a complete probability table or promise that a number of spins will reach a desired race. Use current in-game odds if you want to calculate a chance, and allow for any displayed guarantees or special rules. The safest keep decision is one with a stated reason you can still recognize after the next update.
